Richard Price did a drive by at Mystery One on
Feb. 7th. As soon as he walked in the door, he started looking at the books,
pulling some off the shelves and pointing out his favorites. (including The El
Street Murders by Bill Granger) He was quiet and soft spoken, but you could tell
he meant what he said. He doesn't seem like the kind of person to fit into the
Hollywood scene as when he was writing screenplays, including Maddog and Glory,
Streets Of Gold and Sea Of Love. We talked about his new book a bit, and about
his tour thusfar. Earlier in the day he had some Chicago Beef sandwiches and was
then exposed to food at The Brat Stop (more sausage), I
can't help but wonder how he would be able to eat again later and even attempt
sleep!
I really enjoyed meeting Richard and talking with him, a very interesting man
and a great writer.
