Zager's the best thing to come along for the over
50, pushing 60 crowd who thinks that Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe,
John D. MacDonald's Travis McGee, Robert Parker's Spenser, and
Tony Hillerman's Jim Chee and Joe Leaphorn, along with Dick
Francis, and Raymond Chandler, epitomize Twentieth Century
American detective fiction. His stories evoke the past and
incorporate the new awareness and sensitivity of Sue Grafton,
Martha Grimes, Jane Haddam, Sharon McCrumb and Sara Paretski. He
lives with his wife, Linda, of 35 years, in Bloomington,
Indiana. One daughter and two grandchildren live in north
central Indiana, and his youngest daughter lives in Seattle,
Washington. |
