Peter Abrahams is a new to me author. I know, stop the presses.

This book is highly entertaining and very well written. It is about more than anything the selling of flesh. From the mother who begins her stripping career to earn cash for what she believes to be her dream to the mystery author whose sales are falling off everyone in here is selling off something.

An ex with a scam, a daughter in love for the first time, a wrangler who wants his own ranch, a Russian immigrant who dreams of a water park; all these characters converge to tell a story that is truly wild. It is a page-turner. Remember though, the wildest dreams? The ones that wake you up with your heart pounding for they’ve gone horribly wrong.

In this tale set in Texas and told on a Texan scale Mr. Abraham has sold me. I’ll be looking for him from now on.
