With the cold war over, you would think that things between the US intelligence agencies and their Russian counterparts would have cooled down considerably, right? It doesn't seem so! The possible return of the Communist Party still worries the President, his advisors, and those that answer to them.

Josh McGowan is an officer with Naval Intelligence, who does his job in ways that make his superiors cringe.. His assignment supposed to be a simple one - pick up a young woman in a boat off the Pacific Coast of Russia and escort her to the US for a particularly critical debriefing. Right. Murphy follows Josh McGowan around as if he was tied to his coat tails. And no one bothered to tell him that the woman might not be a willing participant.

This is Jack Allen's first novel. It is non-stop, race-for-the-finish-line action from cover to cover. F-14s, Russian attack boats, aircraft carriers, bad weather, assault teams, double crosses, undetectable explosives, and a trip to the Kremlin. Josh wants answers and that's the only place to get them. If you enjoy roller coaster rides, grab your ticket and hang on!
