When Maggie Thorsen and friends Patricia Harper and Caron Egan decided to open a coffee house together, it seemed like a good idea. At least until Patricia was discovered dead in a pool of skim milk just minutes before opening day. The friendly town police chief is unhappy to see the investigation turned over to the new sheriff, a dark, tough outsider.

This first novel is a fun read. Set in a small Wisconsin town filled with an interesting range of characters, there are enough clues and red herrings to make Agatha Christie proud. Lots of coffee lore, great relationships, and bits of humor throughout the book. You will be ready to curl up with your favorite caffeine fix and grin your way through this story.
