This is the seventeenth outing for Constable MacBeth. Hamish MacBeth. He works in a small village called Lochdubh. And apparently the village wasn’t ready for the new television personality, Crystal French. She’s murdered. In typical Hamish fashion he rubs a few people wrong while pursuing the killer. Another fine book in this series, which spawned a television program on BBC starring Robert Carlyle.
