When Matt Reed returned from Vietnam, he found the world he left behind vastly changed. He had clung to sanity during the worst of the conflict by remembering the Wyoming ranch that had been in the Reed family for four generations.

His mother had died from a debilitating disease while he was gone. In an attempt to save her his father had mortgaged the farm for the first time since the Reeds had owned it. Now foreclosure loomed.

Bochmannıs beautiful scenes of Wyoming help the reader understand why someone would choose to live in that sometimes inhospitable country. This is a story of generations of family who love the land. The author portrays her characters with sensitivity and depth.

This well written story holds the readers interest, sometimes with edge of the seat action as Mattıs Vietnam flashbacks come up against local rogues and law enforcement.
