Series: Sean Sean # 1

Carl Brookins has created a character that is not your run of the mill PI. Sean NMI Sean is short and to enhance his looks he wears red Keds. His height and his red shoes don’t prevent Sean from latching on to a good-looking, rich intelligent girl friend. Sometimes he thinks he might not be able to hold onto her but he seems to pull himself out whenever he gets in trouble with his love.

It is not so easy to pull out of trouble when he finds himself involved in a murder. The victim is the wife of one of the partners of a leading law firm. Although he hasn’t been actually retained in the victim’s case she visited his office and soon after that was found dead. When someone starts nosing into Sean’s business he decides he had better get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the victim and the law firm.

Sean is an interesting character and Brookins writes a good story. I look forward to further installments.
