The message was for "the Indian Priest". That could only refer to Father O'Malley. And the message referred to past battles, a nearby battleground, and bodies. It was enough to stand your hair on end. Was someone seeking revenge for hundred-year-old wrongs?

Vicky Holden's latest client is a young man with an attitude. An attitude that frequently sees him behind bars. He becomes the number one suspect in the killings at the old battleground. Only Vicky and his mother seem convinced of his innocence.

"Eye of the Wolf" finds someone trying to resurrect an old grudge into the twenty-first century and puts Father O'Malley and Vicky Holden in the center of the conflict. No one really wants the two tribes at war with one another again, but young hot heads with firey tempers just might breach what seems to be an uneasy truce. Four paws for an EXCELLENT read, with red herrings galore and action to spare.
