Though now a marchioness Jane Everleigh loathes the man nineteenth century rules that forced her to marry even if he is one of the wealthiest members of society. On the other hand, the notorious rake Dominc Stanbridge finds his new bride quite fascinating because unlike the horde of women, who openly desire him, she rejects him. The morning after the nuptials, something weird happens to Lancaster, as Dominic is known. He had taken a blow to the head and now speaks in a wild Scottish brogue, has the manners of a barbarian, and claims to be a sixteenth century Laird, Colin Mackenzie. Even stranger is Jane's reaction. She rebuffed that same body just yesterday, but now finds it irresistible. As Colin begins to persuade the skeptical Jane it is all true, they fall in love, but he must return to 1562 to finish his quest. Readers will feel the magic of this exciting historical romance. Though the displacement needs acceptance and Colin adapts to easily to a more advanced technology, the audience will find his tale fascinating. Lady Jane is a wonderful heroine and her love for Colin crosses the time barrier. Debra Dier has written a refreshingly delightful time travel romance that will provide much entertainment to fans of that sub-genre and those who enjoy a strong nineteenth century romance.
