Buyer beware. One third of this book is devoted to exerpts from 9 other Stephanie Plum novels. I find the world of Stephanie Plum just too absurd. I cannot suspend my disbelief. But there was a derth of Christmas themed mysteries in my local bookstore this year so I thought I would give this one a whirl. Of the 3 I was able to find, this was the most Christmasy. It is definitely all about Christmas in a Monty Python spoofy more than usually silly Evanovich kind of way. The plot is totally and completely implausible. It makes no sense. Its almost a stream of consciousness type experience to read it. I cannot recommend one thing about it except- , I was in a Christmasy mood when I finished reading it. So if you actually enjoy Stephanie Plum on a regular basis, this effort should thrill you to pieces. I give it only a 3 because only 60 percent of the book is new material. It would be a five, for being true to its genre, if the publisher had left out the 9 excerpts.
