This anthology lives up to its title as felines become involved in crime including solving and interfering as the cats risk their nine lives. The collection includes eleven delightful yarns from some of the genre’s more powerful authors, but none of the contributors consistently feed the frenzy of cat lover sub-genre; in other words no Louie or Sneaky Pie, etc. making an appearance as a protagonist or author. Still the tales are well written and cover a wide spectrum of subclassifications so those fans of cat capers will loudly meow for KITTENS, CATS AND CRIME.
