Christine Bennett, a housewife with a history of investigating murders, receives a shocking phone call predicting the discovery of a body and a murder Chris will enjoy solving. Chris reacts quickly and with the help of the police finds out that the apartment from which the call had been made has been emptied and its occupants have disappeared. Nothing about the names or descriptions of the former occupants explains why Chris should have been led to this apartment by the phone call.

Then two, not one, bodies are discovered, and Chris is investigating a double murder. The trail leads across the United States with plenty of puzzles and odd developments en route.

This fast-paced entertaining cozy will be enjoyed by all Lee Harris' fans.
