I rarely read stories set in Britain anymore. This was the first one in a long time that I really was able to follow from beginning to end. The characters first meet in Italy and several months later they all accidentally book the same bed and breakfast or spend the holidays close enough to it they are all suspects in the Boxing Day murder. It stretched my ability to willingly suspend disbelief and there was a bit too much angst between the sleuth and her live in boyfriend for my taste but within norms for the genre. It is a typical cozy and met those expectations but no more. A pleasant little "potato chip read " for a holiday afternoon.
