Revenge is the dominating factor in Fuzzy Navel. A man’s wife is attacked and he is prompted to form a vigilante group to seek revenge. Before the group known as The Urban Hunting Club is finished several rapists are dead as well as a number of police officers. The Urban Hunting Club is also determined to include Jack Daniels in their list of victims.

Jack’s mother, formerly a police officer now retired, is suffering from arthritis. Jack has moved with her mother and their cat to the suburbs although this is a fact that Jack is hiding from her superiors. Before the smoke has cleared on the crime scene created by The Urban Hunting Club Jack receives a call from her mother that there is an emergency at home. Jack soon discovers her old enemy, Alex Kork, has managed to escape prison and make her way to Jack’s home to seek her own revenge.

The next few hours are filled with danger for Jack as well as her mother, Jack’s fiancée Latham, and an assortment of Jack’s friends. Not only does Jack have to deal with a crazed Alex on the inside of her home but she has The Urban Hunting Club on the outside of her home.

The action is non-stop and a lot of humor is thrown in. Harry can be counted on for his witty remarks and is one of my favorite characters.

I would like to seek a little revenge of my own for the ending Konrath created to this latest addition to the Jack Daniels series. The ending is a real surprise and one I wasn’t ready for.
