WEREHUNTER is a collection of 14 stories, including the title story, all by Mercedes Lackey, and includes an introduction her fans should also enjoy ~ especially the information about her raptor rehabiliataion. You should LOVE the SKitty stories [four in all] if you have not already seen them in Catfantastic. Even if you have, the last one is NEW.

This is Mercedes Lackey at some of her best writing. The stories are thoughtfully written and tight, and [with one exception] are the kind of writing I enjoy most - they keep me glued to the pages and often make me laugh out loud. The lady really does have a way with words.

The exception here is "The Last of the Season". While it, too, is well written, don't read it if you are subject to nightmares! This one will make your skin crawl!

All in all, WEREHUNTER was an unexpected treat, and I'm delighted to see it. Maybe we will get REALLY lucky, and she'll turn the SKitty/SCat stories into a new series!
