"Mystery Date" is a collection of short stories about dates - not just any date, but the first date, that scary and exciting encounter that might lead to anything from a fatal encounter with a serial killer to a romance that will last the rest of the couple's life.

Of course, in a collection with a cover featuring a rather improbably cheerful werewolf/human couple, the possiblilities of a first date are even broader.

This is a quick entertaining read, with a range of settings. Greece is, perhaps, a little over-represented, but Greek mythology is certainly a fertile source of ideas for this type of story. I liked the variety in the feel of the stories, from the story which might really have happened to the frankly fantastic ones.

Overall, I would recommend this book to lovers of short stories and fantasy who are looking for an entertaining if not too demanding read.
