This mystery short story collection comes with a twist as the detectives who solve the case are canines, who know how to sniff out a clue or two. All fifteen stories are well-written and will be enjoyed by dog lovers and fans of canine capers. The humorous tales occur in a vastly different landscapes such as Central Park and Maine, though Manhattan is prominently used. The breed of dog also varies, but the one consistent besides some great writing is that the crime solving remains a serious matter to the sleuthing hounds who star in this anthology.

The fifteen contributors consist of many of today's more popular writers, some of whom readers would not have expected an amateur dog detective story. The collection is fun and must reading for fans of the sub-genre.
