When Angie Amalfi’s sister Cat calls and frantically requests that Angie contact Paavo, Angie’s detective fiancée, because a murder has been committed and she is following someone. The logical thing to do is for Angie to call Paavo and tell Cat to give up the chase. But that is the logical thing to do and Angie is always daring but not always logical. She encourages Cat to keep up the chase and joins in herself.

Cat is a realtor and Marcello is her client. Cat had been checking something in Marcello Piccoletti’s home and discovered a dead body. She also noticed a priest and someone who she thought was Marcello leaving the home. Cat lost Marcello in the chase but wound up at the airport where Angie caught up with her. The two sisters discovered by telling a few white lies that Marcello was booked on a plane to roam so Angie and Cat decided to follow him to Rome.

Once in Rome the two wind up short of money and decide to work for their keep in The DaVinci restaurant owned by Marcello and just hope he shows up.

Meanwhile back in San Francisco Paavo has not one but two murders on his hands and can’t seem to keep track of Angie. Angie and Cat’s family decide they will help him out much to Paavo’s dismay. Next Charles, Cat’s husband disappears.

Will there be no end to the mystery and surprises? Paavo begins to think he will never get Angie back to the United States.

This is a fast read with a lot of excitement and comments on some appetizing food.
