"Mystery in Mind, a Collection of Stories of the Paranormal" is the compilation of winning short stories of the first Mystery Stories Contest held by the Rhine Research Center. The RRC does scientific research to better understand paranormal activity/behavior.
This initial publication introduces 23 fictional mysteries with paranormal themes. Some themes represented are supernatural, astrology, parapsychology and extra-sensory perception. Chris Pugh's "haunting" artwork is placed throughout the stories very well.
I thoroughly enjoyed "Mystery in Mind." You can pick it up and read a couple of stories and return later to read more, or read through the whole book if you'd rather. Having a variety of paranormal themes enhanced the stories, and they were well written. They did not take the theme "over the top"; they were written realistically. And you do not have to be an expert on paranormal themes to understand and enjoy the book. I think if you enjoy crime fiction, you would enjoy a step into the "paranormal pool" with your mystery.
