This is a collection of stories of the paranormal collected by the Rhine Research center in Durham, NC, heir to the parapsychology laboratory at Duke University founded by Dr. J.B. Rhine. It consists of 23 short stories - although purely fictional, these stories represent possibilities that scientists continue to explore - psychic ability, ghost activity, visions from beyond the grave and more. A few of these chilling tales come eerily close to thousands of recorded reports of actual events, sightings and unexplained phenomenon.

I found it a fun and easy read if you have at least a small belief in the paranormal, which I do. Some of the stories were a little out there but it was still an entertaining read. I am not usually much for short stories but did enjoy this collection. As with all short story books, it was easier to read a story or two and put the book down and go back to later, rather than a regular book that you do not want to put down. I would recommend for anyone with an interest in this subject matter.
