When Alan Banks goes home to visit his parents he discovers that a neighbor has stepped in always ready to run errands or whatever task needs doing. However, is Geoff Salisbury really the kind person who is just there to help his elderly neighbors or is there an ulterior motive behind his kindness? This is something Banks intends to investigate much to the horror of his mother. A very timely story since there seem to be many instances of individuals taking advantage of the elderly. This is just one of the interesting stories in The Price of Love.
You never know who you will run into when walking the dog as Peter Robinson points out in his story of love and betrayal.
The Ferryman’s Beautiful Daughter tells the tale of a young woman, hippies arriving in town, and a death that goes unpunished.
The Price of Love tells many stories and the novella is another Inspector Banks that his fans will enjoy. This is a great book to carry with you when you just have a few minutes to read but every story is gripping and introduces a cast of wonderful characters.
