Series: Cat Austen # 6

Cat Austin and her entire family are in the last hectic days before a family wedding and Memorial Day weekend when Cat begins receiving anonymous phone calls regarding her husband, Chris's death. Cat continues to hang up on the anonymous caller until a local TV newshound calls her and asks for a meeting and says she thinks Cat should talk to the caller. Refusing to play along, Cat continues with the wedding preparations until the TV reporter turns up dead and her unknown companion is missing.

Cat is drawn into an investigation that unites her with two very different suspects: a fertility specialist and the widow of Chris's killer. The investigation also explores the ethics of frozen embryos, their potential, and the myriad complications that can arise.

The ethical and moral questions this book raises are as critical as the plot, this time, and Jane Rubino has taken on both with the charm and sensitivity I have come to expect from her. Thank you, Jane, for a wonderful story, lovingly told, and more time with the wonderful Fortunati extended family!
