Buzz Decker is the head of NEST, National Emergency Strategic Team, an elite group with 40 members, set up to stop terrorism in the United States. He has his hands full with a Phantom Bomber who leaves no clues and takes no credit for his bombings, a missing Russian nuclear warhead that has been tracked into the United States and a computer geek with a grudge who has developed a very serious internet virus threat. He also has to deal with a political enemy out to destroy his group while he is desperately trying to stop all three very serious threats in a limited amount of time.

Buzz Decker works quite closely with his college buddy, Alex, who owns a computer software developing company. Alex and one of his top employee’s, Liz, work very closely with NEST to develop software to help Buzz and his team in their fight against terrorism. These three are the main characters trying to find ways to stop all three threats.

I found this to be an excellent first novel. Even with all of the computer lingo, and me not being extremely computer savvy, the book was written so that someone with very little or no knowledge of the internet could follow the computer stuff and understand it’s use and goal. It was quite a page-turner especially with the time deadlines to get the threats stopped.

I hope to see future installments of Buzz Decker and team. I found many of the things in the book to be quite scary as they could all to easily happen.
