In Minneapolis a crowd watches a man with bodyguards leave a store with a painting. Two women on mopeds pull out Czech Scorpion pistols killing the customer, his body guards and driver. The two blonds escape though retired intelligence officers Dale Miller and Charley Payne try to stop the successful assassins from departing the scene of the mass murders. The Feds are in disbelief to see these two retirees enter the scene of their sting operation.

The Feds “rehire” Miller and Payne to pursue the killers. They soon find a link to a potentially deadly bio-terrorist scenario Sad Holiday that could cause incredible havoc that would make 9/11 pale in comparison. Only Miller and Payne can stop this disaster if luck is on their side.

The story line is so over the top it falls off the cliff yet readers will leap along without a parachute as the non-stop action hooks the audience from the moment the "leggy blondes" arrive on a moped until the final confrontation. Miller and Payne are courageous, in some ways like comic book superheroes while the foes are slick, devious, and beautiful. Fans of wild out of control techno military thrillers will enjoy the return of Miller and Payne (see No Other Option and Warrior in the Shadows).
