Alex Michaelides

Alex Michaelides is the Cypriot-British screenwriter and novelist behind The Silent Patient (2019), the psychological thriller debut that sold more than five million copies and topped the New York Times bestseller list for over a year. His follow-up novels are The Maidens (2021) and The Fury (2024). Michaelides trained at the American Film Institute as a screenwriter before turning to prose.
