Anne Michaels

Anne Michaels is the Canadian poet and novelist behind Fugitive Pieces (1996, Orange Prize), The Winter Vault (2009), Held (2023, Booker Prize shortlist 2024), and the poetry collections The Weight of Oranges (1986), Miner's Pond (1991), and Skin Divers (1999). Held was Michaels's third novel after a quarter-century career as one of the canonical contemporary Canadian literary poets.
