Bessel van der Kolk

Bessel van der Kolk is the Dutch-American psychiatrist and trauma researcher behind The Body Keeps the Score (2014), the canonical contemporary popular-medicine book on the operational mechanics of complex psychological trauma. Van der Kolk founded the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute and is a clinical professor of psychiatry at Boston University Medical School.
