Dick Francis
Dick Francis (1920-2010) was a champion English jump jockey who turned mystery writer in 1962 and produced more than forty horse-racing-adjacent thrillers across nearly five decades. His later novels were co-written with his son Felix, who has continued the franchise since Dick's death.
