Gary Shteyngart is the Russian-American novelist behind The Russian Debutante's Handbook (2002), Absurdistan (2006), Super Sad True Love Story (2010), Little Failure (2014, memoir), Lake Success (2018), Our Country Friends (2021), and Vera, or Faith (2025). Shteyngart is one of the canonical contemporary American comic-literary novelists of his generation.
