George Saunders is the American short-story writer and novelist behind Lincoln in the Bardo (2017, Man Booker Prize), Tenth of December (2013), Pastoralia (2000), the Liberation Day (2022) collection, and the writing-craft volume A Swim in a Pond in the Rain (2021). Saunders teaches in the Syracuse MFA program.
