Jesmyn Ward is the American novelist and memoirist behind Salvage the Bones (2011, National Book Award), Sing Unburied Sing (2017, National Book Award), Let Us Descend (2023), and the memoir Men We Reaped (2013). Ward is the only female writer to win the National Book Award for Fiction twice.
