Lois McMaster Bujold is the American science fiction and fantasy writer behind the Vorkosigan Saga (six Hugo wins) and the Curse of Chalion / World of the Five Gods fantasy novels. The Vorkosigan books are the rare military-SF series that grow up alongside their protagonist.
