Marilynne Robinson

Marilynne Robinson is the American novelist and essayist behind Housekeeping (1980), the Gilead tetralogy (Gilead 2004 Pulitzer Prize, Home 2008, Lila 2014, Jack 2020), and the essay collections The Givenness of Things (2015) and Reading Genesis (2024). Robinson taught for twenty-five years at the Iowa Writers' Workshop and is one of the canonical contemporary American literary novelists of her generation.
