Paul Auster

Paul Auster (1947-2024) was the American novelist behind The New York Trilogy (1985-1986), 4 3 2 1 (2017), The Music of Chance (1990), Sunset Park (2010), and Baumgartner (2023). Auster was the canonical contemporary American metafictional literary novelist and one of the most-translated American writers of his generation. His final novel Baumgartner was published the year before his death.
