Rebecca Makkai

Rebecca Makkai is the American novelist behind The Great Believers (2018, National Book Award finalist and Pulitzer Prize finalist), I Have Some Questions for You (2023), The Hundred-Year House (2014), and The Borrower (2011). Makkai teaches at Northwestern and runs StoryStudio Chicago. The Great Believers is the canonical contemporary literary novel about the AIDS crisis in 1980s Chicago.
