Hisham Matar
Hisham Matar is the Libyan-American novelist and memoirist behind The Return (2016, Pulitzer Prize), In the Country of Men (2006, Booker Prize shortlist), Anatomy of a Disappearance (2011), and My Friends (2024). Matar is one of the canonical contemporary American literary writers of his generation and teaches at Barnard College.
